Raw Hair Care Tips

Raw Hair  functions the same as human hair, but it is no longer attached to the scalp so it's not receiving the natural oils from the scalp, which can cause the hair to dry and frizz, here are some tips to prevent/reduce this!

FIND a great cleansing/moisturizing system that is sulfate/paraben free!

(shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner) I HIGHLY recommended carols daughter black vanilla (affordable), Olaplex, RedKen Series shampoo + conditioner.

N3,N4,N, & N8 (pricey but worth it)

  • We  recommend no leave in conditioner as this makes the hair heavy, but I do suggest always using a serum (a little goes a long way) I recommend biosilk (affordable) or Olaplex N7! **ALWAYS use a heat protector I recommend chi 44 heat spray.
  • Trim those ends! raw hair is human hair so yes it gets split ends too! I recommend trimming your ends every install or every other install.
  • ** this can also contribute to frizz if not done!
  • REDUCE YOUR HEAT! I've learned that the flat irons do not have to be on the highest temperature to get our hair bone straight    **But I would recommended not going over 400 degrees!
  • Lastly after each install sleep with a silk bonnet, cover your hair while showering to prevent puffiness! and most importantly wash your bundles with your install to prevent build up from hair products.
  • Invest in clarifying shampoo's if you are to dye your bundles to any color or add highlights! This goes a long way for protection.
